Compare and contrast the poesys Mrs Faust and EurydiceThe songs Mrs Faust and Eurydice are taken form the collection ofpoems called The Worlds wife. The collection is written by sing AnnDuffy, it is a compilation of poems that explores womens rightist principles,the state of feminism today and other such similar topics. The poemMrs Faust however is not particularly a feminist poem kinda itlooks into the shallow materialistic values of our society. Eurydicehas feminist connotations, again though is not particularly a stronglyfeminist poem.Mrs Faust is written in a style that attracts the readers attention,the opening passage has conversational undercurrents, which has the rear of involving the reader, and in effect urging the reader toread on. First things starting line- the first line of the poem is anexcellent example of the conversational musical note that Carol Ann Duffy hasadopted. This style of writing is excessively in effect in the poem Eurydice,again the opening stat ement is a good example of this. It was a determine where language stopped, a blackfull stop, a black snare where words had come to an end.
